The FAQ
Do you Travel?
Yes! I will travel up to 30 miles from Altoona, IA at no charge - anything more than that will have an additional 50 cents/mile added to their session fee.
How many photos do we get?
Each package comes with a certain amount of digital photos that you will be able to download. You will be sent a proofing gallery that you will be able to choose your photos from. You have the option to purchase more photos and also will have the option to upgrade and purchase the entire gallery.
Do you retouch photos?
Short Answer: yes. I like to keep my style as "real" and "natural" as possible. My editing style focuses on accentuating what is already there BUT I will re-touch any blemishes, bruises, cuts, etc. that you would like taken out. I can also re-touch other things upon request.
How do we book you?
Right now the best way to book a session is to message me on either Facebook or Instagram. Or you can text me or email.
How far out do you book?
I have no set rule for this! Normally not more than a year out.
How long have you been doing this?
I have been taking pictures my whole life almost, starting with disposable cameras. haha. The real answer is I've been doing this for about 5 years now and have recently shifted to this full time.
How do we get our photos?
Your individually hand edited photos will be delivered to you in a gallery via e-mail. Once you have the gallery all you need to do is download the images to your device (computer is recommended) The gallery will remain active for approximately two weeks before it is taken down - so make sure to download images right away!
Whats your turn around time?
Turn around time for the proofing gallery is approximately 2 weeks. This can take longer if things come up but normally you will have your photos pretty quickly.
Can you help us with planning?
Absolutely! I am always willing to help out if you would like help planning/coordinating outfits or anything else!
What should we wear?
Wear what makes you comfortable! I always suggest clients steer clear of any busy patterns or prints - especially if you are taking pictures with other people as things like that can clash. Also, keep in mind the location we will be going to. For example, if we are going to be in a grassy area you may want to wear colors that will make you stand out against green. I am always available for wardrobe consultations and have some items in my client closest available to rent.
